Hendrix faculty senior Annie Criswell changed into the first prize ($500) winner within the Poets' Roundtable of Arkansas 2016 statewide Collegiate Poetry Contest for her poem "Rocks in the Riverbed."
A Conway native, Criswell, an English fundamental, spent a semester discovering literature at Oxford college in the united kingdom.
At Hendrix, she become concerned in the The Aonian literary journal and be aware garden scholar reading sequence.
She also volunteers at the native animal shield.
headquartered in 1931, Poets' Roundtable of Arkansas is the oldest poetry corporation in the state. It become centered to encourage poets and poetry throughout the state.
